Two Quick Stories

Yesterday, Ruth got Brian's tape measure (that he had been using to measure for curtains in the nursery) and said, "kick kick" and started to measure her belly. She had watched the doctor measure my belly at my appointment on Thursday. This kid may have a future in medicine. This comes after a few weeks ago when she was using the Wii remote as an ultrasound and trying to find the heartbeat in my belly and in hers.

The other story involves the Hogs. Although Ruth slept through the game yesterday, the Razorbacks beat South Carolina. It just so happens that our pastor and his wife went to University of South Carolina and might even been cheerleaders there. It also just so happens that the pastor's wife works in Ruth's room the second hour of church. So today Ruth wore her little Razorback dress (see the old blog www.ruthhelen.blogspot.com for a picture of Ruth in the dress) to church. We practiced calling the Hogs at breakfast (it is very cute to hear her say "pig SooIEEEEE") but she would not call the Hogs at church. However, at lunch, the restaurant had NFL football on and Ruth started clapping and said, "Go Hogs!" clear as a bell.

You win some you lose some.
