It is difficult living in a house that you are trying to sell. You can't really change anything or work on any projects. Brian's need to accomplish something hit its breaking point Thursday night. After we put the kids down, I found him outside raking the area underneath the deck. This resulted in us getting gravel sand and edging rocks and working for hours in the heat. And then on Saturday we worked some more. And today we went and bought a pallet of rocks from I don't know who from this guy who had a lot of rocks from a HUGE house that he stopped building. The funny thing is, we have some rocks (20 or so) that we have brought from Virginia and Arkansas. Rocks are very expensive, although the ones we got from the guy with a half built mansion sitting next to a log cabin (so not kidding) were so cheap.
And what is also funny is when I was a kid we had to pick up rocks out of the field to make the field better for the cows and tractors and such. Years of throwing rocks into a trailer and then throwing them in a ditch....the amount of money we could have gotten for those rocks.....I think thousands and thousands. How funny that where the rocks are plentiful people don't use them except to fill up a gulley but in the city where the rocks aren't, people pay big bucks for them.
Alas.
We have much work left to do on our rock patio. Couldn't Brian have gotten this hair to do this in December?
Pictures of this rock patio, please!
