Work

I am at school waiting to give an exam in about 30 minutes.  I hope my students do well.

I have been working at the Dekalb County School of the Arts for the past three Wednesday evenings and have one more to finish setting a piece of choreography.  I have also taught a pointe class before rehearsal.  I am so impressed with the level and dedication of students there.  The ballet program is run by a former student of mine from Winthrop University.  She and her modern counterpart have done a great job with the students there.  It has been a very enjoyable experience.  I must say that each week when I leave I am energized yet ready to see my babies and husband.  The drive is long but so far I haven't encountered too bad traffic which is saying a lot for Atlanta.

It is also nice and scary to do ballet steps again.  I have NO control over my body.  I am sure I will embarrass myself at the reunion.  But it will just have to be.  I feel that Ruth and Grayson don't get enough of my time as is.  I don't feel that I can be giving myself barre everyday just to save face in front of my old professors.  Hopefully, they will understand.
